As a result of the case filed by the Minister of Economy and Industry, Bogdan Bogdanov, before the Sofia City Court (CSC) and the two special requests, the Court of Appeal in Plovdiv confirmed the suspension of the registration of the contribution of the shares from the Plovdiv Fair by the Municipality of Varna to “Paldin Turinvest” AD, announced the Ministry of Economy and Industry.
The court confirmed the decision of the District Court in Plovdiv, which stopped the protective registry proceedings for the entry of the capital increase of “Paldin Turinvest” AD through the non-monetary contribution of the Municipality of Varna – 16,314,400 registered shares until the proceedings are concluded with an effective court decision.
This means that until the end of the proceedings, the shares from the Plovdiv fair will not go to the private company “Paldin Turinvest” AD, the economic department notes.
As soon as he took office at the beginning of June, the minister ordered a full analysis of all possible legal actions by the Ministry of Economy and Industry regarding the case with the Plovdiv fair, so that the state interest is protected. After the analysis, with the decision of the Council of Ministers, the minister was assigned to take all possible actions. A case with two claims was filed by the Ministry of Economy and Industry. A request was submitted to stop the registration of the contribution of the shares from the Plovdiv Fair by the Municipality of Varna to “Paldin Turinvest” and a special request was made – the admission of collateral for a claim by seizure of the shares in the Central Depository.
